David Hibbett, Ph.D., Professor of Biology, Clark University.
Hibbett Lab

Dr. Hibbett is an evolutionary biologist specializing in the study of fungi (mycology). He introduces us to the fascinating world of mushrooms, their role in Nature and in evolution. This year, as a Grass Fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Research, Dr. Hibbett is writing a book on this subject for the general public. Mushrooms do not get much media attention, but they serve an important function in many ecological systems, and Dr. Hibbett is committed to raising awareness of their role.

Dr. Hibbett is a past president of the Mycological Society of America, which named him a 2008 MSA Fellow and awarded him its 2000 Alexopoulos Prize.
