Erika Spanger-Siegfried, Lead climate analyst in the Climate and Energy program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. She researches, writes and speaks about U.S. climate change impacts and preparedness. Ms. Spanger-Siegfried has overseen and co-authored UCS’s leading-edge work around coastal flooding and extreme heat. In this interview, she explains the growing threat of rising seas to cities and smaller communities in many areas, hut with emphasis on the eastern coast of the US.
