Sheldon Krimsky, Ph.D., Lenore Stern Professor in the Humanities and Social Sciences, Tufts University. Professor Krimsky is a distinguished scholar in the social and ethical aspects of science and technology. His.research focuses on the role of science in public policy, environmental policy, social theories of risk, biotechnology, and chemicals in the environment. In addition to his academic books and papers, he has written many books on science issues for the general public. In this discussion he will address especially the health and environmental threats of agrochemicals like glyphosate (Roundup). He will also talk about related issues such as GMOs and about corporate influence on science research and policies.
