Meet Andrew Myers, Ph.D.

Andrew Myers, PhD, PE, Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Northeastern University.

On May 07, 2019, Dr. Myers visited Science for the Public's Contemporary Science program to discuss the work of his team in developing and promoting the great potential of offshore wind farms as a major source of renewable energy. Although a number of European countries have built offshore wind farms, the U.S. has been slow to develop this resource. He explained the huge energy production of offshore wind farms, and why the east coast of the US is considered one of the best locations in the world for these wind farms. Dr.Myers also provided interesting information about the design of wind turbines.
