Jack Ridge, Professor of geomorphology and Chair of the Department of Earth and Ocean Sciences at Tufts University. Dr. Ridge has received prestigious awards and is a Fellow of the Geological Society of America. North American Glacial Varves Project
Dr. Ridge appeared on SftPublic’s Contemporary Science Issues and Innovations May 16, 2017 to discuss How Glaciers Affect Earth and Climate. He shared his expertise on glacial geology, especially what annual glacial sediments –called varves— reveal about climate change over centuries. Dr. Ridge’s varve website is an excellent resource for students, teachers and the general public.
