Meet Shakira Franco Suglia, ScD.

In September 2010, Professor Suglia was a guest on Science for the Public's Contemporary Science Issues and Innovations program, where she discussed Traffic Pollution and Child Cognition. This issue has been the subject of a number of studies in recent years.

Shakira Franco Suglia, Sc.D. is an Assistant Professor at Boston Universivaty School of Medicine and Boston University School of Public Health. Dr. Suglia received her Sc.D. in epidemiology and environmental health from the Harvard School of Public Health.

Dr. Suglia's research is primarily concerned with the effects of various types of environmental and psychological stress on the health and cognitive development of children.
