Meet Walter Willett, M.D., Dr. P.H.

Walter C. Willett, M.D., Dr. P.H., Professor of Epidemiology and Nutrition at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Willett is a foremost authority on the impact of diet on personal health. He has led a number of the most widely cited long-range studies on diet and health (e.g., Nurses’ Health Studies I and II and the Health Professionals Follow-up Study) and has emphasized the relationship between processed foods and the high levels of heart disease, certain cancers, diabetes-2. Hew is also the author of several books for the general public on this subject.
