Meet Davidson Hamer, M.D.

Davidson Hamer, MD, Professor of Global Health and Medicine at the Boston University School of Public Health and School of Medicine,; Adjunct Professor of Nutrition at the Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy.

On September 08, 2020, Dr. Hamer appeared on Science for the Public's Contemporary Science Issues and Innovations program to discuss The World Health Organization: Lifeline for the World's Children. He explained why the W.H.O.is the indispensable health resource for children around the world. And he discussed his extensive work as physician/researcher, committed to treating the illnesses that undermine the health of so many children, especially in impoverished nations. He had recently written about the U.S. withdrawal from the W.H.O., stating the reasons why participation of wealthy nations is absolutely necessary to improve children's health worldwide.
